Aircraft—Background.gif

For this project we were approached by developers to create artwork illustrating the history of the site. We came up with the idea to digitally render a series of aircraft in the style of wartime aircraft spotter guides.

The site in question was RAF Alconbury in Cambridgeshire, which was first used by the British, and then the Americans during the Cold War. Having seen many decades of changing aviation history, it is currently undergoing another transformation into homes, businesses and schools.

These illustrations, depicting some of the aircraft once based at Alconbury, formed part of an exhibition and brochure about the history of the airfield.
